About Louise
Louise is a Registered Psychologist BPsych (Hons.) and Clinical Psychotherapist with over fifteen years private practice experience.
Louise’s passion to help others heal started in her childhood. Her parents divorced at a young age, and she can recall early memories of understanding trauma in others and having a desire to help. After a career in public relations and events, she decided to make the move to a profession where she could really make a difference. She graduated with honours from Griffith University and embarked on a career as a psychologist and a psychotherapist.
Louise is a progressive thinker in the field of mental health. Her own passion for self-improvement led her to explore Buddhism, shamanism, meditation, and female empowerment. In exploring her passion for self-improvement, she has learnt tools that immediately helped both herself and her clients.
The combination of therapy and alternative modalities has had a great impact on the healing of the clients she was working with. This led her to lead spiritual retreats in India and develop and facilitate personal development programs closer to home. Her work can be found on her popular podcast Soul Awakening with Louise Fewtrell and meditations on Insight Timer.
For a lot of people when we lose loved ones, we will receive signs that connect them to us. People report seeing a butterfly, feather or a symbol. This occurred for Louise when she lost her three grandparents consecutively over a short period of time. Three crows appeared on her balcony at home one day and she instantly felt the connection to her grandparents. The crows appear regularly for Louise and have also shown up when she needs confirmation with decisions or needing support. The three crows have become very important to Louise and this is represented in her brandmark.
Louise’s books are currently closed to new patients. We will update here once they re-open to new patients.
